BANNOCKBURN COMMEMORATION 2026

This year's commemoration was held on Sunday, 21/6/26. The weather was warm and sunny, and a fairly decent crowd was there, considering the amount of folk currently over in the USA for the football. Members of the Saor Alba Pipe Band led folk up to the Rotunda. Steven Hughes and Adrian Robertson had organised this year's event. Adrian opened the event with a rendition of "Scotland's Sons", then Steven gave a short run down of the Battle. Gordon Aitken and Kate Smith sang a couple of songs, YouTuber Maxwell Muir talked of the battle, then Duncan spoke for a while about the Bruce. The wreaths were laid to the sound of a lone piper. Adrian closed the day by leading the crowd in a rendition of "Scots Wha Hae", our traditional final song. Till next year...
