WILLIAM WALLACE RUNNING FESTIVAL 2025 |
The William Wallace Running Festival 2025 Stirling - October 11th Delivered by Scurry Events (Running events), the Society were happy to be invited to assist in this inaugural event, which is now planned to take place annually. This event comprised of a 1 mile kids fun run, a 10k, a 50k, and a 70k run, all the main runs taking in some of Stirling's historic sites and locations associated with William Wallace. The Society was invited along to open each of the races, leading the runners to the first bend of the race, and then presenting the winners with their prizes. In-between we spoke to spectators, told folk who we were, and took loads of pics with runners, staff and spectators. Convenor David Reid and Secretary Gordon Aitken represented the Society. One runner for the 50k was a certain William Wallace of Boston, USA, who secured the 3rd place spot. The Society have already received a repeat invitation for next year's event, and look forward eagerly to attending this unique gathering. |
