FALKIRK COMMEMORATION - 22nd JULY 2023
This year's Commemoration was again organised by the Society of John de Graeme.
This was a day filled with living history, breathtaking re-enactments, and engaging activities right in the heart of Falkirk Town Centre. Captivating performances by esteemed groups like the Knights of Monymusk, Company of Saint Margaret, and Brittania XIV, as they brought the strategic brilliance of the era to life. Marvel at the incredible Battle of Falkirk and Battle of Bannockburn murals by Chris Rutterford, displayed in the Howgate, that help transport you to another era. Let the enchanting melodies of Clann an Dumma mesmerize you with their captivating performances, renowned worldwide for their incredible talent. Their music filled the air as people explored the High Street and experienced the magical atmosphere of the event.

The fun didn't stop there! Children had their own immersive experience with the interactive Kids Army, and face painters added a touch of whimsy to the day's festivities. After the commemoration at Callendar Park Cairn, many joined the grand procession as we journeyed back to the town centre, symbolizing the indomitable spirit of the Scottish people.

Many visitors took the chance to explore the vibrant shops, restaurants, and cafes, and discover the hidden treasures of Falkirk while celebrating its rich history.
